Kelley Steel Erectors puts Steel in its Place. Founded in 1958, Kelley self-performs its work in many industries around the country including commercial buildings, steel mills, petrochemical plants, renewable energy facilities, powerhouses and the power generation Industries, mining and refinery Industries, wind generation stations, and automotive and heavy manufacturing plants.

Kelley Steel Erectors has constant ongoing work in heavy steel environments. We take pride in our ability to respond to our customer’s needs at a moment’s notice. Every day, we are involved in outages and turn-arounds to put plants back in production for our clients, saving them time and money. For over 65 years, we have ongoing work in steel mills, powerhouses (both nuclear and fossil fuel), petrochemical plants, and three automotive plants. KSE’s partnership with fabricators from around the country provides valuable assistance in the successful development of project planning including value engineering, connection design, sequencing, scheduling (including critical path, lean and last planner systems), crane logistics and daily site coordination.

KSE’s accomplished staff provides the ability to aid in developing constructability, scheduling, sequencing, cost effective connection details, crane selection, and positioning, as well as coordination with other trade disciplines.

KSE’s experienced estimators are able to provide detailed budget analyses during all phases of the life of a project; conceptual, pre-construction, and post-construction. KSE thrives on challenges that require an open line of communication and mutually agreed upon objectives.

DESIGN-BUILD

Design-build is a one stop shopping procedure that coordinates the owner, general contractor, and contractor from the start of a project concept. This allows all parties to collaborate from the very beginning thru final construction. The coordinated team works together to ensure cost savings, efficiency thru construction, and an on-time construction schedule.

KSE’s design-build division partners with owners, developers and general contractors to provide faster delivery, cost savings, better quality, and reduced risk.

The process starts with a design that engineers, architects, and owners approve. Next, is the procurement of materials, which can include steel, joist, deck, and miscellaneous metals. KSE fabricates their own work, along with sub-contracting projects to fabricators in order to meet specific design specifications. Lastly, is the erection portion of the project that KSE will self-perform. This process allows the design-build team to work under one contract with the owner or general contractor, to provide design and construction services.

KSE’s design-build division successfully delivers office buildings, schools, and warehouses, along with numerous other projects with superior results.

Our success over many years has allowed us to reinvest capital to expand out capabilities to better serve our customers. In 1984 Kelley Equipment was founded in Clearwater, Florida. It has grown into one of the largest crane rental firms in the country. In 1986, Kelley purchased Schweizer-Dipple, Inc. to further add to our fabrication and erection of steel pipe and ductwork for a long list of industrial clients.
